While using ncdu to investigate disk usage, I found out that ~/.cache/yakuake is using 18,7 GiB.
It is a huge amount of data, I can even see ~3 years old files.
What is going on?

Most likely you've set your Konsole profile to save backlog to disk and unlimited size or so. Yakuake's code itself doesn't use any caches.

Yes I did, but Konsole also says that the backlog files are automatically deleted when user closes Konsole. I think that it should be triggered even when the user restarts the computer.
Concerning Yakuake it should be the same.
My Yakuake autostarts when I login into Plasma and I usually do not close it manually because there is not reason (it does not use any KDE Plasma panel space, so it is fine to leave it opened when I use my computer).

It's possible that the Konsole Kpart component doesn't do the required cleanup. Let's reassign this.
