I am also using a Czech keyboard layout with third-level (AltGr) layer containing the characters that are usually present on the second (Shift) level of the US keyboard. The bug only applies to vi input mode -- if the input mode is set to Normal, the command mode works as expected. Steps to reproduce: - go to Edit -> Input Modes -> select "vi-mode" - either press F7 or : (when you are not in vi's input mode) - a command-line opens, but the third level of the keyboard layout is not available; in other words, pressing AltGr+5 does not yield the "%" character - it simply does not do anything. keyboard layout: Czech (QWERTY, extended backslash) Kile Version 2.9.91 KDE Frameworks 5.44.0 Qt 5.9.5 (built against 5.9.5) The xcb windowing system Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
