The flatpak version of Krita is not officially supported. I don't know whether it is possible to install debug symbols for it, but if it is, please try to create a backtrace.

Please also try with the appimage and tell us whether that crashes as well.
Comment 2 D.D.Rouge 2018-07-10 07:42:26 UTC
Ok, I have tried the appimage and the issue doesn't seem to be present. I don't really know how to use the debug symbols or if it can be used with the flatpak but I'll do some searching online and see if I can figure it something out.
Comment 3 D.D.Rouge 2018-07-10 09:27:59 UTC
Well, there's a problem using the debug symbols. The only one I can find is for windows. I do think though if there's debug symbols for linux it might work. I did find the directory where I think I would have to put it and I know where I would have to look for the log.

We don't provide the flatpak build, only windows, macos and linux appimage -- so you wouldn't find it on krita's website.
