When I use kmenuedit and change icon of an application using Other Icons and then browse to my icons located at ~/.icons, menu show blank image. I tried different alternatives and all have blank icon.

Screenshot shows Simple Menu, but I have the same problem in all alternatives.

was the new icon that you selected a SVG file?

Yes, it was a svg file. When I tried png, icon was displayed OK.

Interestingly when I start typing and search for viewnior, icon is displayed. So I assume searching is using another component.
