I'll try using drawing tools, and though it says it's working on my layer, the lines or strokes wont show up on the screen; whether I use my tablet or not.

Hi!

It's nearly impossible to know what is happening to you with so little detail! Please could you explain what you were doing when the tools stopped working? A step by step procedure to make it happen. Also adding a video of it happening would be of great help

Hello.

The problem might have not been the version I used of Krita. I had an older
version with the same issue, then thought updating the software would fix
it, but it didn't. I was lining a drawing of mine and I had almost
finished, but as I was about to finish, any drawing tools I tried to use
stopped working. I checked if I had accidentally made the layer I was
working on invisible or if I was on eraser mode, but I wasn't. I've also
tried deleting the layer and creating a new one, but that didn't fix the
problem either.
I opened a new document and the drawing tools work, but they won't work on
the drawing I'm currently trying to finish.

that is strange. Cna you save the file? The drawing you are trying to finish cannot be drawn to even if krita is restarted and the file reopened?

If that is the case, can you share the .kra file with us?
You can attach it here or if it is too big, store it somewhere (mega, gdrive, dropbox) and send us the link.
