On my screen, any tab used by Konsole is unnecessarily long: I don't need to be told it's a "Konsole" tab; all I want is what the tab contains, for example, if it's a bot control, I simply want "bot," not "Konsole - Bot." If you won't take the program title out entirely, at least make it a user choice? I run several, and even with grouping them together, the tabs take up too much real estate. I'm trying to find some place to complain about the size of the tabs but's nigh on impossible. Kindly do your part in helping out with this, please.
It is a user choice: 1. The tab title is determined by your profile and can be adjusted using Settings > Edit Current Profile > Tabs 2. Right-click on the tab and choose "Rename Tab..." Right-click on the tab and choose "Rename Tab..." ---> all renaming does is *adds* the name you type; "Konsole" is still there, unless there's something you left out in your explanation.
