After an update last week, many features on KDE do not work anymore, e.g. menu on Okular (not active when I click on it), some menu in firefox (unable to access preferences)...

I'm really sorry to close this bug, but this is not an Okular bug, it seems your system is basically broken.

I would advise you hop into the support channels of the distribution you are using to try to figure out what went wrong.
