In *some* KDE applications the 'select file/folder' dialogs is unable to browse to an external NTFS hard drive. This *has* worked before, and might be a regression in 5.47.

These programs are affected:
– KBackup (won't recognise drives even upon manual path entry)
– Elisa (will recognise files but cannot read them)
– KTorrent (but successfully reads and writes to drives on manual path entry)

If I *manually* type the path to the drive (e.g., /media/oysteins/Drivename/) KTorrent and Elisa will recognise the drive. But KBackup reverts to the home folder.

Tested with an ext4 formatted drive – recognised fine.
