Description Artem 2018-06-27 11:57:58 UTC
I am trying to open my iPhone 5 from dolphin and after i open "camera:/Apple%2520iPhone%25205%2520(PTP%2520mode)@usb:003,008" i receive the following message after a few seconds:

"Unknown error code 150I/O problem
Please send a full bug report at http://bugs.kde.org."

Last time i opened iPhone 5 to copy all photos few months ago and everything was fine. Doesn't matter what usb port or cable i use - always same result. It happens on Kubuntu 18.03 and lattest stable KDE Neon.

What version of iOS are you using? Is the device unlocked at the time when you try to access it from Dolphin?

FWIW, my iPhone 5 running iOS 11.2.6 works just fine with Kubuntu 18.04 running Dolphin 17.12.3 or 18.04.2.

I am using iOS version 10.3.3 (latest available for my device. No jailbreak installed, pure iOS). I have been waiting for KDE Neon based on Ubuntu 18.04 to check. Now still can't get access to my iPhone from Kubuntu 18.04.1 nor from Neon based on the same version of Ubuntu. When i plug in my iPhone to my PC it prompts me to trust this device. I agree and nothing happens. If i unplug and plug iPgone again nothing happens.

Recently bought iPhone 8 Plus for my wife and it can't be seen in Dolphin too. I tried every USB port on my PC. No luck. I am starting to think it is because of my hardware - ASUS n73sv laptop (old but runs linux well).

Forgot to mention, i have no problem on any GTK based environment like GNOME or Cinnamon, Mate etc. I can't get access to iPhones only from KDE. Hope somebogy will confirm same behaviour on their devices.

I had the exact same issues with iOS 10.x, and upgrading to 11.x solved them.

Can you do this?
1. Reboot your computer
2. Log into your user account
3. Unlock your phone
4. Plug your phone into your computer

...In exactly that order? That works for me 100% of the time now with iOS 11, but didn't with iOS 10. If it doesn't work for you, I think it's probably an iOS 10 bug.
