Description Thomas Mitterfellner 2018-06-26 19:28:29 UTC
I have two screens set up: my laptop's screen and an external monitor connected via HDMI. The "sync screens" checkbox is not checked, but strangely, the combo box is greyed and only shows "Screen 1" despite the Display section of the configuration module showing both monitors. Consequently, both screens are affected when I drag the slider.

Am I misunderstanding what is written here: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kde-workspace/kcontrol/kgamma5/index.html – should it actually be possible to set the gamma for each display individually when I use two screens with only one graphics card? Is there a difference between a "screen", a "display" and a "monitor" in that context or are they same? If that should actually work, what can I do to debug it (provide debug info)?

Thanks for the bugreport! I've corrected the component of this bugreport, the gamma settings are not actually a part of KScreen, but have their own component.

I have the same issue with a monitor on HDMI-A-0 and a Wacom Cintiq on HDMI-A-1. The combo box is deactivated so that I can only change the settings of both screens in sync.

I'd like to be able to change the gamma settings for each screen individually.

Same here... any update on this? I have one monitor connected via HDMI and another via VGA to an on-board Intel graphics card. The combobox is greyed out, but all other parts of System Settings do recognize the two displays separately.
