This appears to be a longstanding problem and boy is it irritating.

It's easily fixed with "pkill akonadi_imap" and less easily fixed with "akonadictl restart".

The problem with the former is this:
org.kde.pim.akonadicontrol: Application '/usr/bin/akonadi_imap_resource' crashed! 1 restarts left.

Can someone tell me how to increase the # restarts to an arbitrary high number so I can just make a cron job to "pkill akonadi_imap" every hour?

Pending an actual fix to this problem this would make it easier to live with!

I can confirm it, it seems akonadi (or part of it) dies regularly.
#345979 is probably related.

Thank you for reporting this crash in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the crash with a recent software version?

All good at the moment v 5.19.3 (21.12.3) so I'm changing to resolved/fixed
