Hi, I have a problem related to KWin, I'm using "Show Desktop Grid" hotkey (Default is Ctrl+F8) a lot. This is listed under KWin component. If there's a fade out going on the screen of any element, and I press the hotkey, plasma desktop freezes. For example, the fadeout of a tooltip: you get a frozen half faded out tooltip, cpu fan goes to max speed, and you only get to move the mouse cursor. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 works: I tried killing kwin to see if it would automatically restart, restoring my workspace but it doesn't. Let me know if you need any more information. I'm running into this bug almost every day Cheers!
Please try to attach gdb to the frozen KWin and provide a backtrace.
Can you please provide more detailed steps to reproduce this bug? (I can't reproduce it) Did you try to disable the Fade effect? Does system freeze after that? Also, maybe, that's one of those bugs related to Present Windows.
