In the recent KDE 5.13
I think there should be an option to automatically set your wallpaper as your lockscreen image. 
If possible change when the wallpaper changes automatically.
Something like this https://github.com/andreyorst/kde_wallpaper_blur would be nice to be a part of KDE framework.

It's much more complex, idea has come up repeatedly before.
