Hello dear devlopers, my problem is that by default I have no sound on KDE, while I do on any GNOME based DE. I recently found out, however, that I can get sound to work by disabling all other sound sources in KMix. My setup looks like this: My headphones are connected to my monitor, not my PC. My monitor is connected to my PC via HDMI. OS: KDE Neon 5.13.0 KDE Plasma Version: 5.13.0 Qt-Version: 5.11.0 KDE-Frameworks-Version: 5.47.0 Kernel-Version: 4.13.0-45-generic KMix Backend: Phonon VLC 0.10.1 (the bugtracker only offered 0.10.0) Please help me impove this bug report. I am not a very technical user. Thx for all your work.
Maybe you shouldn't use kmix but plasma-pa. I am a bit irritated that this isn't the default in neon.
