My Latte Dock consumes approximately 1/2 the length of my screen edge (bottom of the screen in my case). When set to auto-hide / dodge, I have to move my cursor to the edge of the screen to bring Latte back into focus, as expected, but must make sure the cursor is actually within the length of screen edge that Latte consumes. It would be nice if I could sweep the cursor to anywhere along the relevant edge, regardless of how much of the edge Latte actually consumes. I hope that makes sense; I can post a screenshot if required.
Latte master is using KWin edges mechanism by default and replicates plasma panels behavior. That means that in v0.8 there is visual feedback how big is your hidden dock. Using the entire screen length wouldnt be possible, because we need two events in order for correct dock slide-in. 1. The mouse to touch the edge for specific time 2. The mouse to be inside the dock it starts sliding-in The second event wouldnt be possible in some cases if we using the entire screen length
Thank you for commenting, Michail. That makes sense. I've found a few more useful things to pin to the dock now, making it wider and kind of solving my issue in a roundabout way, so all good. Loving Latte. :)
