I am running Kubuntu 18.04
Plasma: 5.12.5
KDE Frameworks: 5.44.0
QT: 5.9.5
Kernel Version: 4.15.0-22-generic
Gwenview: 17.12.3

Bug: Gwenview plugins not accessible. When I click Plugins -> Install Plugins the Discover app center will open and display the error "Couldn't open appstream://photolayoutseditor.desktop" (See attached screenshot) and I cant see/find any plugins.

I thought we had a bug tracking this issue, but now I can't find it. Let's use this.

The basic problem is that Kipi-plugins ships no AppStream metadata, so Discover can only find it on distros that have added the metadata themselves, as KDE Neon has. See Bug 391669. Once that's fixed, we can modify Gwenview to find it using the correct URL.

Just a note: I *AM* running KDE neon, and I'm also getting this bug...
