Description AiwendilH 2018-06-10 21:19:35 UTC
When clearing the address bar of dolphin then selecting a kio-slave in the appearing dropdown box it gets entered in the address bar with two slashes at the end (example: "tags://", "timeline://", "settings://"). Pressing return on that one displayes the "root" of the kio-slave just fine...but if trying to navigate into the virtual "subfolders" of a kio-slave results in an "Invalid Protocol" error. If one of the trailing slashes is removed manually from the address bar folder navigation is possible again.

Version: 18.04.2 (Sorry, was missing in the dropdown above)

Steps to reproduce:

- start dolphin
- Click the address bar and delete everything
- Select the more->"Timeline" kioslave (but works with everyone, this one just is guaranteed the have at least a "today" virtual subfolder)
- "timeline://" is entered in the address bar
- press <return> to load
- "today" and "Calendar" folders are displayed
- click the "today" folder to open it
- "Invalid Protocoll" (German setting here..."Ungültiges Protokol", guess the English message at the moment)

A bit more details
- Click the address bar again and only remove the last "/" from "timeline://" then press <return> again
- click "today" folder again...works now

Expected behaviour:
I am not sure what the exact expected behaviour is. In general...that I can open folder directly after selecting a kio-slave from the dropdown. But not sure if the two "slashes" are the problem...I don't really see why any leading additional slash should change anything.."////home/" in the adddressbar still opens /home. So either allowing dolphin an arbitrator amount of slashes between kio-slave protocol and first subfolder...or at least having the dropdown insert the kio-slave with only one slash so that is works right away.

Reproducible on Arch Linux with dolphin 18.08 beta.

I've just tested this on Dolphin from git master and can browse all sub-items.

Can you please confirm if this is still an issue on recent version, thanks.
