Description kde 2018-06-10 16:18:08 UTC
After the update to 5.9, albums in the tree view which where uncollapsed once during the session, are again uncollapsed after a restart of digikam. The same happens after opening album properties - all once opened album subtrees are displayed again.

Over time, this leads to nearly the whole album tree being uncollapsed with no way to permanently collapse it again.

I have never seen this problem. The configuration file may be damaged. As a test, rename the "digikamrc" under "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\" and start it with a new setup. Path to images and database must be setup when digiKam starts now.

Hey Maik,

thanks for your suggestion. Renaming "digikamrc" results in the tree being initially collapsed again, however the problem is still present and once opened branches are constantly uncollapsed again.

I can not reproduce the problem on Windows or Linux. Maybe you could test the current developer version of digiKam-6.0.0:

The Windows installer have been recompiled with last changes from source code and is available here for testing :

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Take a care : it's a beta release. Make a database backup before to test.
