I updated to a new version of kf5 and kmail. After rebooting, kmail no longer shows the body of any message new or old. I've manually stopped akonadi and restarted it, restarted kmail, and there's still nothing. There's not much interesting in the terminal output either: boud@linux-u0cn:~> akonadictl stop boud@linux-u0cn:~> akonadictl start Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString) boud@linux-u0cn:~> akonadi.collectionattributetable OK akonadi.collectionmimetyperelation OK akonadi.collectionpimitemrelation OK akonadi.collectiontable OK akonadi.flagtable OK akonadi.mimetypetable OK akonadi.parttable OK akonadi.parttypetable OK akonadi.pimitemflagrelation OK akonadi.pimitemtable OK akonadi.pimitemtagrelation OK akonadi.relationtable OK akonadi.relationtypetable OK akonadi.resourcetable OK akonadi.schemaversiontable OK akonadi.tagattributetable OK akonadi.tagremoteidresourcerelationtable OK akonadi.tagtable OK akonadi.tagtypetable OK Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString) QDBusConnection: name 'org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Control' had owner '' but we thought it was ':1.67' org.kde.pim.akonadiserver: Received ModifySubscription command before RegisterSubscriber org.kde.pim.akonadicore: "QLocalSocket: Remote closed" "/tmp/akonadi-boud.vT6bOA/akonadiserver-ntf.socket" org.kde.pim.akonadicore: Protocol Exception: "Failed to write data to stream" QIODevice::read (QLocalSocket): device not open org.kde.akonadi.ETM: GEN true false false org.kde.akonadi.ETM: collection: QVector() org.kde.akonadi.ETM: org.kde.akonadi.ETM: GEN true false false org.kde.akonadi.ETM: collection: QVector() org.kde.akonadi.ETM: org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 9 QSet(32, 35, 34, 37, 36, 39, 38, 57, 56, 59, 58, 61, 60, 63, 62, 49, 48, 51, 50, 53, 52, 55, 54, 9, 11, 10, 13, 12, 15, 14, 25, 24, 27, 26, 29, 28, 31, 30, 17, 16, 19, 18, 21, 20, 23, 22, 73, 72, 75, 74, 77, 76, 79, 78, 65, 64, 67, 66, 69, 68, 71, 70, 81, 80, 82, 41, 40, 43, 42, 45, 44, 47, 46, 33) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 1 QSet(83, 1) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 2 QSet(4, 7, 6, 8, 3, 2, 5) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Fetch job took 249 msec org.kde.akonadi.ETM: was collection fetch job: collections: 83 org.kde.akonadi.ETM: first fetched collection: "Search" org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 9 QSet(15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 31, 30, 29, 28, 27, 26, 25, 24, 39, 38, 37, 36, 35, 34, 33, 32, 47, 46, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, 55, 54, 53, 52, 51, 50, 49, 48, 63, 62, 61, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 71, 70, 69, 68, 67, 66, 65, 64, 79, 78, 77, 76, 75, 74, 73, 72, 82, 81, 80) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 2 QSet(8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Subtree: 1 QSet(83, 1) org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Fetch job took 346 msec org.kde.akonadi.ETM: was collection fetch job: collections: 83 org.kde.akonadi.ETM: first fetched collection: "Search" org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Fetch job took 251 msec org.kde.akonadi.ETM: was collection fetch job: collections: 3 org.kde.akonadi.ETM: first fetched collection: "Search" org.kde.akonadi.ETM: Fetch job took 348 msec org.kde.akonadi.ETM: was collection fetch job: collections: 3 org.kde.akonadi.ETM: first fetched collection: "Search" boud@linux-u0cn:~> kmail & [1] 12863 boud@linux-u0cn:~> org.kde.pim.webengineviewer: It's not necessary to check database now Nouveau openGL driver detected. Zut... It doesn't even work after following https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/pim/kmail2/clean-start-after-a-failed-migration.html, no bodies are shown unless I go for the source view of the mail. And of course all my filters are broken :-(
have same problem
