Description Łukasz Żarnowiecki 2018-05-28 15:00:49 UTC
When I am opening krunner or program activator (I believe this is the name of this component, left down corner) my disks are woken up from standby (spindown).

Does not matter if I type something or not.

Expected behaviour:
Disks are only woken up when I type something to krunner and same for the kde menu. I want to turn off computer, but my disk are starting to spinning up.

Could you please check which KRunner plugins causes this issue? To disable search plugins, click on the "config sliders" icon at the left-hand side of KRunner.

I can, but it also happens in this menu https://i.imgur.com/BiBDnqs.png

Are they related somehow?

Yes, that menu also uses krunner plugins.

Seems like this plugin is responsible for this behavior https://i.imgur.com/nwt3R1E.png

In English it would be called something like "Searching on desktop"

Christoph with the plugin causing the issue are you able to investigate further? I've just checked on KDE Neon User Edition and the plugin hasn't changed version so I'm guessing no code has changed since this report.
