Just a visual suggestion. Some users may use a beautiful photo as lock screen wallpaper. With semi-transparent text field and button, the result would be nicer.

With the Plasma 5.13 the SDDM Breeze greeter the text field and buttons are only shown when needed: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=388622#c9

... and same for the lock screen.

Yep, we did the same thing for the lock screen too. :) I think people are gonna love it.
