Created attachment 112915 [details] KScreen KCM started when two unconfigured 4K screens are attached to a laptop. The resolution of the current screen is 1920x1080 which should be enough to show all the information I'm running kscreen 4:5.12.90+p18.04+git20180519.1126-0 on Kubuntu 18.10 with KDE staging ppas, though this problem exists in previous stable versions as well. When launching the KCM module as a standalone dialog, for example by opening the KDE menu and search for "Displays", the dialog created is very small, to the point of being unusable. See screenshot. The dialog should be at the minimum with the screen visualization display expanded so that all screens are show fully inside the display with some white space around them (so it is easier to understand what we're looking) ideally not overlapping unless the user has specifically set them so. Also the bottom configuration panel should be expanded to show all controls. The dialog should only be set so small if the screen is too low resolution to show all the information requires.
Created attachment 112916 [details] Same setup as the previous screenshots, with the screens already configured While less of a mess, the dialog is still too small - the configuration panel is mostly hidden and the screens visualization overflows the visualization area. It may be a good idea to scale down the visualization are to fit all the screen representations - it looks like the KCM can't display properly when there are more than 2 screens.
Fixed in Plasma 5.17!
