Comment 1 wolthera 2018-05-24 17:19:44 UTC
Can you reproduce this crash?
Comment 2 Mohammad 2018-05-24 17:22:40 UTC
yes it happen again
Comment 3 wolthera 2018-05-24 17:25:11 UTC
and if you turn simplewall off temporarily it doesn't happen?

I am asking because there's only 2 places where krita connects to the internet: 1. g'mic updates(and I think those are in g'mic itself) and 2. when you click on a link. But that's not even krita connecting to the internet, that is just krita telling your webbrowser 'hey, open this link'.
Comment 4 wolthera 2018-05-24 17:28:31 UTC
Also, did you get Krita from the website or the windows store?
Comment 5 Mohammad 2018-05-24 17:30:17 UTC
if i disable no crash happen
i think its for check for update since i dont click any link
from website
Comment 6 wolthera 2018-05-24 17:41:13 UTC
The check for updates for g'mic has to be done by the user, it is not automatic. We likely cannot fix this, because we have no code in place that by itself connects to the internet or would crash krita when it cannot connect to the internet.

If it did not come from krita.org/kde.org it might be that it got modified by a 3rd party, but outside of that, I have no clue what might be causing it.

The only other option is that it is not krita that is broken but simplewall.

You can also try to create a proper backtrace(https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger). If that is not possible then I'll have to close this bug because we cannot actually fix anything with the problem signature, it just tells us something crashes in the ui, but there's a lot of ui code and without an indication of where we cannot do anything.

crash log

hi again
ok i look in this link
https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger

i checked that folder and found kritacrash.log is on that folder
Comment 8 wolthera 2018-05-24 18:23:29 UTC
Alright, that's something we can do something with.

If you could also copy-paste the information from help->show system information for bugreports, that'd be extra sweet. We mostly need to know all the graphics card stuff, because that's where the crash is happening.

Comment 10 Halla Rempt 2018-06-05 09:13:21 UTC
Hm... We just rewrote the way tile textures are handled. Could you please check with the latest nightly build whether you can still reproduce it? See https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/Krita_Nightly_Windows_Build/

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue myself on my nvidia-based mobile studio pro with windows 10, so I cannot check that.
