Description Daniel Duris 2018-05-22 11:35:28 UTC
Plasmashell randomly uses 100+% CPU (when checked via top).

Needs to be killed and restarted to run correctly again. Otherwise it makes computer too hot and fan spinning like crazy.
Comment 1 David Edmundson 2018-05-23 01:26:47 UTC
What version of Qt?

Could "randomly" mean in repsonse to getting a notification?

No. No pattern. Just seems to go crazy (100+%) after some time computer has been running.
Comment 6 Daniel Duris 2018-09-18 23:42:47 UTC
Killing and restarting temporarily resolves the issue.
Comment 7 Christoph Feck 2018-09-19 01:13:35 UTC

I would say it's pretty funny that I have to screenshot this and I am unmable to copy the info out (as from any other KDE software, where actually copying ttext works... Go figure)
Comment 9 Christoph Feck 2018-09-19 10:48:44 UTC
Qt 5.9.1 is old. Please check if this also happens with Qt 5.9.6 or Qt 5.11.1.
