Reproduce steps:

 - Establish a new RDP connection
 - In the opened host configuration, enter a directory that desnot exist in the share media option(default value is /media)
 - click ok.

The screen flickers and no error shown, and nothing happen.

on todays systems the default should be /run/media/(username) instead of /media

This issue still exists. At least it's gives an error message now, but it's still trying to share a nonexistent directory by default
