OS: KDE Neon 5.12
Plasma Version: 5.12.5
KDE Framework Version: 5.46.0
Qt Version: 5.10.0
Kernel: 4.13.0-41

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 3558
Driver: nvidia-384
Card: Nvidia Geforce 920m

This bug has been previously reported multiple times and has the status resolved downstream, but I am still encountering the bug.
Might be possible because I am using the newer nvidia-384 driver.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open terminal
2) sudo prime-select nvidia
3) Try to log out
4) ksmserver-logout-greeter crashed message comes up.

Backtrace result:

I am facing same issue. For me it happens both way switching from nvidia to intel and vise versa.

Any updates on the issue? Still present on plasma 5.14
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2018-12-20 16:09:55 UTC
While the bug is different, a fix for bug 364593 should also fix this.

We now have a software render fallback. Please reopen if still an issue after 5.15
