Description Roz 2018-05-19 22:29:13 UTC
Overview:

Part of clip treated with alpha generator not visible when resized.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Put a clip over another clip so the bottom clip overhangs and is seen first on the project manager.
2. Treat the top clip with effects, alpha manipulation, alpha generator
3. Grab the edge of the top clip with the mouse and resize it so that it overhands the bottom clip and comes first.

Actual Results:

Although the top clip has been changed in length so that it should begin playing first, there is no image on the project manager where the viewer says that the clip should be playing. You can hear the sound of the clip playing.

When it crosses the lower video, the lower video is visible and both clips can be heard playing.

Video only appears split screen at the location where it was when the alpha gradient was set.

Expected results:

Resizing the top clip to be longer should apply the alpha gradient to the entire clip.

Build Date & Platform:

Version 4:17.12.3-Oubuntu1

Additional Information:

Error persisted after save and reload.

Error rendered incorrectly. Video generated looked the same as project manager.

First noticed when an error caused system to crash twice, (second time with memory error) alpha generator was in combination with speed and mirror.

Please try with the actual Kdenlive AppImage version 18.08.2
Run the Appimage from the terminal (press CTRL + ALT + T). Move to the AppImage folder and run the .AppImage: ./Kdenlive*.AppImage
