The only way I can get Kile to exit out of full screen mode is to either quit or do something like try to go to online documentation or file a bug report. Otherwise it stays in full screen mode even if I try to quit full screen mode.
Cannot reproduce. Using either the menu item or Ctrl+Shift+F will toggle Fullscreen mode.
