Veja a captura de tela do kolourpaint 18.04.1 no Arch Linux.
No kde neon está do mesmo jeito.
O "%" não aparece quando o programa está em inglês.

Olá,

Essa porcentagem aparece em qualquer idioma menos o inglês se você trocar o idioma no programa e reiniciar. Mas se o LC_ALL for diferente de pt_BR aparece normal para alguns idiomas. (Estranho)

E o pessoal está investigando isso, quando estiver corrigido atualizo o bug.
