- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Using KDE when system had updates, the update ran it to issues stopped the upgrade of KDE, log into GNOME log off then ran KDE when kde stopped working.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Did that crash happen again?

Note that if the system updates were interrupted and some kde packages were updated whereas some others weren't, that could account for the crash than happened.
