Created attachment 112589 [details] A video of the problem in action. When I try to move my brush around with my mouse, the brush does not align properly, moves to random areas of the screen, and refuses to let me work on the lower part of a canvas. It practically renders the program unusable for drawing. This problem does not occur with my mouse, not does it occur in any other program that I use. In the past, it has occured with my Wacom Intuous Pen Small tablet and currently with my XP Pen Star 03 ExpressKeys.
Which version of Krita are you using?
Created attachment 112590 [details] attachment-8162-0.html The most recent one. I redownloaded it a few minutes before taking that video. I've tried that several times, as wel as reinstalling the tablet drivers. Hi, jurcsekisintheemail! Could you please tell what tablet model you use and generate a tablet log for a couple of strokes as described here: https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Windows
Created attachment 112606 [details] Krita Bug.LOG Hello again! I'm using an XP Star 03 ExpressKeys, and previously had the same problem with a Wacom Intuous Pen Small. Here's the tablet log! 'm not sure if i picked up on everything - for instance, when I move the brush just barely off the canvas it fails to recognize the space between the canvas and the toolbar and instead moves right to the toolbar. Or, when moving off of the bottom of the canvas, it moves the mouse far to the right. I'll send the video of that too just in case. It looks very likely to be an issue with the tablet driver. See if you're using the latest driver and update it if not. Try to mess around with the calibration options in the driver's configuration if there are any. You can also try switching to Windows Ink in Krita's tablet settings and see if it works. Can you see if the above solve your issue?
Created attachment 112843 [details] attachment-9343-0.html Hi there! Apologies for taking so long, I've been busy. I've reinstalled the tablet driver several times. This problem has also happened on a different tablet, a Wacom Intuous Pen Small, and it doesn't happen in older versions of Krita, starting with 3.0 and back. Switching to Windows Ink didn't do anything either. Which versions exactly had you tested with? And how about the latest 4.0.3?
Created attachment 112871 [details] attachment-6756-0.html I tested it on the latest, which was the initial version that I sent you. I also tested on 3.3.3, 3.2.1, and 3.0.0 (which was the only one that worked). Settign to unconfirmed since we now have the tablet log. Alvin is travelling, though.
To be honest, to me these tablet logs often just doesn't really seem to help. All it shows is that the coordinates from the mouse and WinTab doesn't match, which we already know even without the log. It doesn't log the raw coordinates values from the WinTab support code, but even if it does it probably wouldn't help either, unless the offset is so large that the tablet events are all sent outside of the canvas area that wouldn't be captured by the tablet debugger. > Switching to Windows Ink didn't do anything either. Can you clarify how it didn't do anything? Did pressure sensitivity not work with Windows Ink? Did you still get the same exact offset with Windows Ink? Can you perhaps also generate a tablet log with Windows Ink enabled? Do note that you have to restart Krita after switching to Windows Ink for it to be in effect, so please remember to do that.
