I have a batch of pictures with upper case file and file type names like SAM_####.JPG. I wanted to resize them and additionally save them as a .jpg with 80% quality. The files should be overwritten. DigiKam didn't overwrite the files but created another version with the name SAM_###.jpg
This is not a bug, you have to choose overwrite and the renaming syntax is something like this: SAM_####.[ext]{lower} Maik
I had choosen to overwrite the existing files and to keep the existing name. So I was expecting to to only have one version afterwards. Still I had two versions in the folder: SAM_####.JPG - original file SAM_####.jpg - batch processed file (correct size but not overwritten)
Ok, yes, BQM always creates a new file and because it is different file name from the original one, it will not be overwritten. As I see it, we need an additional option in about "delete original file". Maik
