I've installed KDE on Fedora 28 workstation, which installs gnome by default. I've installed it with a localized language different than english. After switching to english, most things in UI change accordingly, however Audio Volume Settings still shows strings in the old language: - Audio Volume > Devices tab - Audio Volume > Advanced tab > both the device name and in Profile > shows localized instead of "Off"
Created attachment 112474 [details] language 1
Created attachment 112475 [details] language 2
Created attachment 112476 [details] language 3
Fixed the problem with these commands and restarting after that: $ localectl set-locale LANG=en_US.utf8 $ sudo -i # localectl set-locale LANG=en_US.utf8 The GUI should handle this properly. Please fix and improve this.
There's no such thing as KDE. I guess you mean Plasma?
I couldn't find a component for the language kcm, so assigning to general plasmashell. Someone rewrote this for the next version as far as i remember, would be good to check if this still happens or not
Yes i mean Plasma.
Is is still happening for you with a recent version of Plasma, like 5.18 or 5.20?
