I use vimtex to edit my latex documents. The forward-search feature is very useful in that it bring Okular to the front while moving the page to the current position of the cursor in vim. Unfortunately the sidebar switches state upon refresh. So if I'm in the thumbnails view, which I always am in, Okular switches to contents view. This problem is similar to the one that has been fixed: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=343089 It is related to the family of requests for Okular to remember which sidebar is used for each document: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342094 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=335189
