What happens:

1. When SDDM is used to start Wayland session then shortcuts still work on X after logout.
2. When using tty with startplasmacompositor then shortcuts stop working on X but are working on Wayland.
3. Shortcuts continue to work on Wayland with DM or tty.

Conclusion:
Starting Wayland session via tty breaks X global shortcuts handling in some way.

Running parallel sessions is not supported

I might have used too convoluted explanation to be honest. It's not about parallel sessions.
It's just if plasma wayland is started from tty, then after logout shortcuts would not work if logged back through tty, but this time on X session.

Not sure if it still occurs though.
