Description Aleksey Kontsevich 2018-04-28 22:07:44 UTC
Recent time can't access access or browse ntfs partition in Dolphin. Have normal rw access via shell or mc. Found workaround to enter path manually in address bar. In tree view file open dialog can't view ntfs mounts or browse them at all.

Did I understand you correctly that you are not able to access a NTFS partition if you try to reach it by clicking on the Places panel (the one on the left)? Are there any messages in the system logs (e.g. in dmesg) about failed mounts?
Comment 2 Aleksey Kontsevich 2018-04-29 15:56:25 UTC
Yes. And no messages in dmesg. As I said all mounted correctly and accessible in bash or mc. All windows disks are mounted at
/windows
    +/c
    +/d
    +/e
with rw rights for root and users group. Browsing /windows in Dolphin shows empty directory which is wrong. Accessing these disks via devices panel or entering windows disk path directly (i.e. /windows/e) goes normal.

Most inconvenience appears in KDE directory selection/open dialog (for ex. in ktorrent) where I can't browse windows (ntfs) disks at all.
