When I use the Fill Tool rapidly to color some linework, Krita becomes unresponsive after the 4th time I use the tool. - create a new file - add a new layer - draw five closed shapes with an inking brush - create new layer - use Fill Tool rapidly Result: at the 4th Fill (sometimes the 5th) Krita becomes unresponsive for more that 5 minutes; after that, I get a Runtime error window and Krita can be closed. Youtube clip that shows the problem: https://youtu.be/Xv5Z9yxbiFc Notice the progress bar when I did the 4th fill. I edited out a couple of minutes of nothing happening and included the taskmanager that show high CPU and Krita slowly eating memory. System: Windows10 64bits (up to date) INtel 8700K 32GB RAM nVidia GTX1070ti 8gb Krita 4.01 and 4.1 Nightly builds
Hi, Did you also get a crash log, or could you get one? (https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger)
No, I have the debugger files, but there's no crash report generated.
OK, I realize I'm probably the only one who has this issue (I asked around in Discord and no one experienced this). I was wondering if there was any way to troubleshoot this? There is no crash log generated; Krita just stops responding, and after about 10 minutes I get a runtime error. For what it's worth, it doesn't matter if I rapidly do a fill, I can only use the Fill tool 3 times before Krita stops working.
I don't really know what made me think of it, but when I run Krita as Administrator, I can use the Fill tool as much as I want. Both 4.03 and 4.1 Nightly. Make of it what you will :)
Then I think we just cannot do anything more with this report. Sorry, but I'll have to close it.
