Screenshot showing detached dropdown list options

The options you get to select from when you click on a dropdown list control are detached from the control, appearing further down the page. This doesn't happen on all dropdown lists but it is consistent on the dropdown lists that exhibit this behaviour.

See url http://www.betfred.com/sport for a dropdown list that exhibits this behaviour. Scroll down the page to the price format dropdown list that displays 'Fractions' by default. Click on the dropdown list and the available options appear detached further down the page. See attached screenshot Screenshot_Betfred_falkon.png.

The same dropdown list works correctly in chromium (screenshot attached separately).

On some dropdown lists the options don't appear anywhere.

The dropdown lists for Severity, Platform and OS on the KDE Bug Tracker behave correctly.

I can't test with http://www.betfred.com/sport because it gives me "Access To Website Blocked".

By any chance are you using Wayland?
Comment 3 Richard Ullger 2018-04-27 12:19:41 UTC
No, I'm using X. Plasma Wayland is unusable for me.

That is the first dropdown I came across without having to have an account.

Which country are you in?

Czech Republic

Can reproduce on https://www.archlinux.org/packages/ after Falkon has been running for a while (the menus are displayed offscreen). Restarting Falkon fixes it for a while, so I don't know a reliable way to reproduce it.

Screenshot Arch Linux packages Flagged dropdown

Head to https://www.archlinux.org/packages/

Both the Maintainer and Flagged dropdown lists exhibit this behaviour. Flagged is the worst, I have had to scroll the page as far as I can to be able to see the options for this dropdown. See attached screenshot.
Comment 7 Richard Ullger 2018-04-27 12:48:46 UTC
I agree with Antonio that restarting Falkon causes the dropdown to work correctly on the Arch Linux site but on the Betfred site it happens 100% of the time and restarting Falkon makes no difference.

I'll keep an eye out for a site where the problem is consistent.
Comment 8 David Rosca 2018-04-27 13:40:31 UTC
It appears to happen only with QtWebEngine 5.11, so it should be reported there.
