Description Øystein Steffensen-Alværvik 2018-04-26 19:36:54 UTC
Hitting the "Cancel" button while Discover is downloading/installing system or application updates does not cancel the update.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
(Make sure that you have updates to install)
1. Run "plasma-discover" from terminal or from application menu
2. Choose "Settings" and then "Check for updates".
3. When Discover finds updates, choose "Install updates".
4. Enter credentials
5. After Discover starts updating, hit the "Cancel" button. Nothing happens.

Discover can also not be closed during an update (unless you terminate it). It does not matter whether Discover has just started or is just finishing updating; "Cancel" button does not work.

These are packagekit or apt updates (I assume that's what it's called). I have not tried with flatpak or snap updates.

Running "plasma-discover" from terminal does not produce output when "Cancel" button is pressed. I am willing to debug this, if someone will please provide info how.

And in .5 it works. I assume it was fixed by a patch. Or was a temporary problem on my end.
