Description Filipe Azevedo 2018-04-21 10:53:03 UTC
Currently one need to select then copy then paste and enter a new name to duplicate files/folders.
This is very not very handy, less again for a large list of items to duplicate in the same folder.
Please allow a new 'duplicate' mode to the standard copy/paste/cut that operate on files and folders on the current selected items.
Bonus point if Dolphin can generate suggested names on its own so no user interaction is needed at all.

I submitted a patch for this last year that was rejected: https://phabricator.kde.org/D8206

I'll re-open it and see if I can restart the discussion.
