Description Axel Schwank 2018-04-18 19:04:39 UTC
Left-click on the date and clock system tray / panel item makes plasmashell use a whole CPU core and eating up all system memory so that the session needs to be terminated.
KDE Libs version is 5.32.0.

Do you have "kde pim events plugin" enabled? do you by chance have some appointments or agenda items without a start date in your calendar?

Also, if you can, please try to get a backtrace

Both answers yes.

How to retrieve a backtrace? Do I need to send some signal to plasmashell?

Thanks. This has been fixed in a newer version of kdepim-addons.
