Description Kishore Gopalakrishnan 2018-04-15 10:13:27 UTC
Recently I visited a news website, on which for some reason, I kept on getting spammed with error dialogs regarding unrecognised certificates. I couldn't close the page or the browser, since the dialog kept on popping up as soon as I clicked 'no'. I ended up having to use the system monitor to kill by browser. There should be some way to automatically reject certificate requests from a particular site, in order to prevent such issues and allow the browser to remain usable.
Comment 1 David Rosca 2018-04-18 07:31:28 UTC
If you choose Yes, it will remember the exception for the browsing session (until you close the browser).
Comment 2 Kishore Gopalakrishnan 2018-04-18 12:37:14 UTC
But sometimes I might not want to accept the certificate, since, for example, it's from a news website I don't particularly trust, and it doesn't seem to be necessary to view the content of the webpage. I still think that to deal with cases such as the one mentioned in the first comment, there should either be an option to 'reject and close tab', or 'ignore requests' in the aforementioned dialog.
