open GL does not enable.
tools lock during use.

Can you provide more information? What type of computer do you have? Does it even have OpenGL?

iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011)
2,5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB

would I have to install Open GL? If yes, how?

According to this chart...your computer should already have it.  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202823

Were you using Krita 3 before. There were some fixes in Krita 4.0 with OSX stuff and graphics cards. You could try to clear your configuration and see if that helps the OpenGL setting get enabled again.

Yes, it is now to an earlier version of Krita.
