Description Victor Porton 2018-04-12 10:38:04 UTC
I tried to count all my incomes and expenses. But I consistently did it wrong, first because of inconvenient interface of my bank online reports. Also it takes too much time.

So today I decided to count only incomes and business-related expenses.

I am going now just to calculate every month money in my pocket and see bank account, using this calculate the difference to know my expenses.

But it seems that I need to do the calculations manually.

Please add to KMyMoney an easy way to work in this mode: I enter the quantity of money in the pocket and it automatically calculates the expenses (the difference), also taking into account my business income and expenses.

If you create an account for your cash, then even if you only make one transaction a month to a general "expense" category, the balances should match, and a standard income/expense report should work for you.
Comment 2 Victor Porton 2018-04-12 19:17:00 UTC
True, but I do not want to calculate the size of expense manually. I want just to enter the new balance and expenses be calculated automatically.

Can you change this bug to a wishlist?

I suppose KMM coulod create such a transaction - sort of a variant on reconciliation - put in the actual current balance, and KMM creates an expense or income transaction to make it so. Without actually creating that transaction, however, the stated expenses could only be cumulative since the oldest of the most recent transactions in any of the referenced accounts.
