Software crashing when creating new or opening a save file. No error messages appear. This happens with both x64 and x86 versions.

I'm sorry, but this just isn't enough information for us to investigate. Obviously, Krita doesn't crash for everyone on opening or creating a file, so it is something specific to your system. Could you please reset your configuration (https://docs.krita.org/KritaFAQ#Resetting_Krita_configuration) and try again, and if it still happens, follow these instructions to get a crash log: https://docs.krita.org/Dr._Mingw_debugger
