I was delighted to find a lightweight Chromium-based alternative in Falkon. Coming from Firefox, I very much like ‘tree-style tabs’:

They provide a great way to organize a set of related and unrelated tabs.

Perhaps a QTreeWidget or QTreeView can be used for that.

Plugin settings -> tree view.
