Description Hadrien 2018-04-08 21:46:43 UTC
I bound the reset canvas rotation command to the ⁿ (power) key (on the left of 1 on number row), works well except it needs to be pressed twice to reset rotation

Just adding that it's been behaving this way for some time, since v3 if I recall correctly.

Then that might be a qt bug. Can you check if it happens if you assign it to a different key?
Comment 3 Hadrien 2018-04-09 10:41:48 UTC
Tried to bind to J key - it works. Should I cross-report this to another project ?

I am not sure. You might need to report it to QT, but I would first check if any other program(like, GIMP or inkscape), if you have any particular action tied to that to that key, also needs double pressing. It might be that this key is defined as a 'dead' key, meaning it always needs to be double pressed before it sends a signal. This would be defined systemwide, and then there's very little any of us could do anything about it.

Assigning a shortcut to this key in Gimp works fine. I'll report it to Qt then.

The Qt bug reporting asks me for exact version and "component", not really sure what to enter there.

reporting bugs for Qt is really hard, but we just cannot clutter our bug database with open bugs we cannot do anything about, so closing.
