Trying to move applets in the panel under wayland is very slow compared to X11. It happens also with Latte and I tracked it down to the tooltip shown (with applet settings button and remove applet button) when the user hovers an applet. So I suppose it can be kwin related but I would like first a confirmation from plasma devs also

I can confirm such issue on Arch Linux, plasma 5.12.4. click hamburguer button in plasma panel, "Add widgets" button drag some widget ("minimize all windows", for example) from widgets explorer to your panel drag just added widget to change its position in panel Under Wayland the widget does not track cursor movements. If I drag the widget quickly from left to right or vice-versa and release the mouse button immediately, widget remains moving itself in plasma panel

Widget itself stops moving randomly while cursor is moved, its tab has continuos movement but it also does not track cursor movement and remains moving itself when cursor is released.

I've tested this on my laptop with Plasma on wayland but I can't reproduce the issue. Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved.
