Just a suggestion. Since I use a shared library, it could be useful to know if there have been any changes since the last time the collections were scanned. 

That could be either a simple message after the scan saying "32 new pictures were added, 5 were deleted", or even creating a section where you can see the last 100 or 200 elements that were added to the database.
