File Management window (Preferences>Configure>Collections)

1. Cannot set up attached (local) drives as a location for anything - images, database, etc. Doesn't use the MacOS file system properly.
2. Does not handle file management in a standard way for this OS.

Go to Setup/Miscs and turn on the "use file dialog from the system" option.

It's better ?

Hi,

digiKam 7.2.0-beta2 pre-release PKG installer now support BigSur and is
compiled with last stable Qt 5.15.2.

https://files.kde.org/digikam/

Problem still reproducible with this version.

Thanks and happy Christmas in advance

Best Regards

I close this bug, by default the native file dialog is enabled under macOS.
